Use when explicitly asked to run a live or plan-only application test for a published Scenario skill.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Validate the skill named in the invocation arguments by having a fresh agent do real work with it, then report where that agent got stuck. A defect here is a defect in the skill text, never in the agent. Flags: `--pr <number>` targets a PR instead of detecting one, `--plan-only` runs the zero-cost planning protocol from AGENTS.md instead of live generation, `--task "..."` supplies the use case instead of writing one, `--no-post` stops before publishing anything, `--keep` keeps the run directory. Live runs spend Scenario credits. Keep every generation the smallest one that still proves the point. ## 1. How to install
mdr add scenario-labs/skills/skills-validate@sha256:1d37b935eafddeb2The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261009.ef8789a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
