Write and edit renchan/Sequelize migration files (sequelize/migrations/*.cjs). Use this skill whenever the user asks to create or update a migration — creating a table (createTable), adding or removing a column (addColumn / removeColumn), declaring an index or a unique constraint (addIndex), naming an index, or deciding whether to add a foreign-key column.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Sequelize Migration
A skill for writing the `sequelize/migrations/*.cjs` files. It defines the **physical schema**
(tables, columns, indexes); the **logical declarations** layered on top (attributes / association
/ scope / hook) are written by `hor-sequelize-model`. Keep the two in one-to-one correspondence —
when you add a column in the migration, add the matching attribute in the model (and vice versa).
The conventions are split across the detail files below.
This repo does **not** `sync`. The schema is **built entirely by migrations**. The databases these
skills assume are dev = SQLite / staging = MySQL / live = MariaDB, and the dialects differ; a
PostgreSQL project substitutes its own databases, and each rule below names PostgreSQL where it
differs. A model's `unique: true` and the like are only declarations; **the real object is always
created by the migration**.
## Grand principle: a migration is a filled-in template
Every migration has the **same skeleton**: `'use strict'` → `require` the factory → `TABLE_NAME` /
`COLUMN_NAME` constants → `module.exports = { up, down }`, where `up` runs
…Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add openreachtech/hora-skills-ort-renchan/hor-sequelize-migration@sha256:d80a48b2795b5cffThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.e062f2f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
