Use this skill whenever a change affects what `webjs create` GENERATES (a new or changed gallery/showcase demo, a new template, a changed generated file like the layout/home/theme/schema, a new convention that belongs in generated apps, a new scaffold-shipped config/hook) OR what the agent skill `.agents/skills/webjs/` (SKILL.md + references/) TEACHES, OR when the user asks to sync the scaffold or the skill, "update all three templates", check the scaffold is consistent, keep the skill in sync…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Keep every scaffold surface in sync with what `webjs create` generates The scaffold is the **primary way AI agents learn WebJs**, through TWO teaching surfaces that must stay in sync with the framework: 1. **The agent skill `.agents/skills/webjs/`** (SKILL.md + references/): the DURABLE teacher. It is the ONE canonical source (bundled into every scaffold at prepack via `scripts/sync-scaffold-skill.mjs`, and the repo's own agent guide). Crucially, `gallery:clear` strips the whole gallery to a blank slate, so the skill is the ONLY teaching surface that SURVIVES, and after a clear it is the agent's sole reference. A feature the skill does not teach is lost the moment an agent clears the gallery. 2. **The gallery** (the repo-root `gallery/**` app): runnable, densely commented demos an agent learns the idioms from by reading and running, then adapts. It is DISPOSABLE (removed by `gallery:clear` before real work begins). It lives ONCE, at the repo root, as a live workspace app you can boot and test (`npm run dev:gallery`, `npm test --workspace=@webjsdev/gallery`). `packages/cli/prepack` bundles it into `packages/cli/templates/gallery/` for …

How to install
mdr add webjsdev/webjs/webjs-scaffold-sync@sha256:4443ad2dac0b4ab8The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260810.c60f226, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
