Use this skill to record a research, design, or decision investigation on the webjsdev/webjs project. A research/design record is a CLOSED GitHub issue labeled `research` (the durable writeup lives in the issue body plus comments), never a file in the framework's reference docs (the skill at `.agents/skills/webjs/`) and never a comment buried on an unrelated PR. Trigger phrases include "research whether X", "investigate X", "evaluate X vs Y", "compare A and B and decide…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Record a research / design investigation as a closed `research` issue The framework's reference docs (the skill at `.agents/skills/webjs/`) exist ONLY to teach AI agents how to USE WebJs. They are NOT a home for research write-ups, design records, or decision histories. Polluting them rots their purpose. So a research/design/decision investigation is recorded as a **GitHub issue**, labeled `research`, with the full writeup in the body plus deep-dive comments, then **CLOSED** to keep the record. ## The two mistakes this skill prevents 1. **Do NOT write the record as a file in the framework's reference docs** (no `<topic>-design.md` / `<topic>-research.md` committed under the skill at `.agents/skills/webjs/` or any other doc surface). That was the #548 cleanup. 2. **Do NOT bury the record as a comment on an unrelated PR or issue.** It must be its own labeled `research` issue, or it is not filterable. (This exact mistake happened on #548. The record was first archived as a comment on the cleanup PR #552, then mis-filed as a `research:` PR #559, before the convention settled on a labeled issue at #560.) ## Why an issue, not a PR …

How to install
mdr add webjsdev/webjs/webjs-research-record@sha256:1a6ebcda235a1163The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260808.e7eb5dc, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
