Write a comprehensive, structured literature review on a topic. Searches the literature via Corbis, organizes into thematic strands, writes synthesized prose (not paper-by-paper enumeration), and outputs as Markdown, LaTeX section, or standalone LaTeX document with proper BibTeX citations.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Literature Review Write a comprehensive, structured literature review on a user-specified topic. This skill produces a standalone review of what the field knows, where it disagrees, and what remains open. It is not for positioning a specific paper's contribution (use `literature-positioning-map` for that) or for writing a related-literature section within a manuscript (use `research-paper-writer` for that). ## When to use - The user wants to survey a topic or research area - The user wants a literature review for a dissertation chapter, qualifying exam, survey paper, or personal reference - The user wants to understand the state of knowledge on a question before starting a project ## Inputs to collect Use the following defaults when the user provides a topic. How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
