DNS/domain ops: registrars, zones, redirects, DNS/HTTP verify, manager truth.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Domain/DNS Ops (Peter)
This skill is a thin router: use `~/Projects/manager` as truth, run the repo scripts, follow the checklists.
## Source of truth (read first)

## Golden path (new vanity domain -> Cloudflare -> redirect)
1. **Decide routing model**
- Page Rule redirect (small scale, per-zone).
- Rulesets / Bulk Redirects (account-level; needs token perms).
- Worker route (fallback; uses `redirect-worker`).
2. **Cloudflare zone**
- Create zone (UI), then confirm with `cli4`:
- `cli4 --get name=example.com /zones`
3. **Nameservers**
- If registrar = Namecheap: `cd ~/Projects/manager && source profile && bin/namecheap-set-ns example.com emma.ns.cloudflare.com scott.ns.cloudflare.com`
- If registrar = DNSimple: see `~/Projects/manager/DNS.md` for delegation API notes.
4. **DNS placeholders (so CF can terminate HTTPS)**

How to install
mdr add steipete/agent-scripts/domain-dns-ops@sha256:85d96626b73ba7a0The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260523.0a2d76c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
