Turns a spec or document into a narrated explainer video. Produces a 1920x1080 MP4 of illustrated still slides with a neural voice-over and a sidecar .srt; it is a narrated slideshow with fades, not animation. Slides come from a script-rendered layout kit so the run is cheap and repeatable on macOS, Linux and Windows. Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Story-video
One document in, a narrated explainer out. The developer is involved at three
points: the length, the storyboard with audio consent, and the finished video.
Everything between is scripts.
**Announce at start:** "Using opm-video:explainer-video; this makes a narrated slideshow, not animation."
Invocation text is in `$ARGUMENTS`. Scripts live next to this file in
`${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/explainer-video/scripts/` (written `S/` below). Every
script takes the story directory as its one argument. Layout slots and
pictogram names: `templates/layouts.md`. A complete example:
`templates/storyboard.example.json`.

How to install
mdr add harshadmadaye/opm/explainer-video@sha256:f9051ffbe7ac7d27The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261005.01a02c0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
