Init-task artefact: verbatim operator brief + append-log, mandatory read by every pipeline command. Source of truth for operator intent.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Init-Task Persistence
> **Why this exists.** The operator's original prompt to `/dr-init` is the only
> place where intent is captured before the pipeline translates it into PRDs,
> plans, designs and code. Every later artefact paraphrases that intent. Without
> a verbatim, append-only record agents lose track of what the operator
> actually asked for; the only evidence of drift becomes the operator's memory.
>
> The init-task file is that record. It is created at `/dr-init` time and read
> by **every** subsequent pipeline command. Operators may extend it with an
> append-log; agents must read the whole log, not just the verbatim brief.
## File location and naming
```
datarim/tasks/{TASK-ID}-init-task.md
```
One file per task. Same `{TASK-ID}` as the corresponding
`{TASK-ID}-task-description.md`. The two files are siblings: description is
the agent's interpretation, init-task is the operator's untouched source.
### Per-task artefact roster (cross-link)
The init-task file is one of three per-task artefacts that share the `{TASK-ID}` namespace; each has a distinct lifetime and semantics:

How to install
mdr add arcanada-one/datarim/init-task-persistence@sha256:62f50089ceae244eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261004.8dfccd1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
