Author template for Minnow skills (not shown in the slash picker).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Example skill (documentation only) This folder documents the **SKILL.md** contract. It is **not** invokable via `/` in the composer. ## Folder layout ```text ~/.minnow/skills/<skill-id>/SKILL.md # user override src/skills/<skill-id>/SKILL.md # built-in (repo) ``` ## Required front matter - `name` — must match the folder name; slash command is `/<name>` - `description` — one line for the picker and routing hints ## Optional front matter - `label` — display title in the picker - `version` — semver badge - `disable-model-invocation: true` — only apply when user types `/name` (Minnow v1 default) ## Merge rules User skills under `~/.minnow/skills/` **override** built-ins with the same `name`. ## Body Write actionable markdown: when to use, steps, and Minnow **tool ids** from `definitions.ts`. See Step 14 for `/impeccable` (UI polish skill).

How to install
mdr add henrigrimm/minnow/_example@sha256:b802e31f06972681The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260520.a13d1dd, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
