Gather structured answers from the user with the ask_question tool when requirements, scope, or priorities are ambiguous. Use for /ask-user before large plans or multi-feature work.

# Ask user (structured questions)
## When to use
- Requirements are unclear or conflicting and you need a decision to proceed safely.
- Multiple features or options need prioritization or MVP scope.
- Trade-offs (performance vs simplicity, breadth vs depth) should be explicit before planning.
## How to use `ask_question`
Call with a **`questions`** array. Each item must use **`prompt`** (question text), not `question` or `text`. Each choice is an object **`{ "id": "...", "label": "..." }`** under **`options`** (not `choices`, not plain strings).

How to install
mdr add henrigrimm/minnow/ask-user@sha256:5f6e18e7b184ebc0The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261029.66e5bbf, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
