# Claude Code notes — memtomem
Markdown-first long-term memory MCP server (LTM). For what it does see
`README.md`; for setup, architecture, and project layout see `CONTRIBUTING.md`
and `docs/guides/`. This file only captures the few things Claude Code needs
in context that aren't obvious from those docs.
## Commands
Requires Python 3.12+ and `uv` (workspace-managed monorepo).

The `ollama` marker auto-skips when Ollama isn't running; CI always uses
`-m "not ollama"`. `ruff` and tests must pass to merge; `mypy` is advisory.

How to install
mdr add memtomem/memtomem/CLAUDE.md@sha256:4bec0f2f8efca2b1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261102.84f2889, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
