dependency-analysis SKILL.md skillB
dependency-analysis from gsa-tts/agentic-coding-patterns is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add gsa-tts/agentic-coding-patterns/dependency-analysis@v1.1.0Pins v1.1.0 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Analyze project dependencies for security vulnerabilities, license compatibility, and supply chain risks.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Skill: Dependency Security Analysis Analyze project dependencies to identify security vulnerabilities, license issues, and supply chain risks. This skill also gates the *decision to add* a dependency, Action, or install step in the first place. Framing is federal-first: it treats NIST SP 800-218 (SSDF) and NIST SP 800-53 supply-chain controls (SR-3, SA-15) as normal baseline expectations. It is agency-portable — it references frameworks generically and anchors to the playbook, not to any single agency's files. ## Boundaries This skill covers the **intake question**: should this dependency, Action, or install step be added, and is it supply-chain-safe. It does not restate what sibling skills own: - **agentic-actions-auditor** — runtime safety of agent-invoking CI workflows. - **safe-shell-script-author** — *authoring* safe shell scripts. This skill only *audits* the install pattern that pulls a script in. When a task crosses those lines, defer to the sibling skill instead of duplicating its rules. ## When to Use - Before deploying to production - During security reviews - When adding new dependencies - Regularly (weekly/monthly automated scans) …

How to install
mdr add gsa-tts/agentic-coding-patterns/dependency-analysis@sha256:41b06f905b318b46The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
