npm dependency evaluation, security auditing, update strategy, and lockfile hygiene.

(For non-npm ecosystems, apply the same evaluation criteria with the ecosystem's equivalents.) --- ## Adding Dependencies ### Evaluation Criteria | Criterion | Check | |---|---| | **Necessity** | Can this be achieved with existing dependencies or a small utility function? | | **Maintenance** | Actively maintained? How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
