Design and implement reusable Astrid packs and capabilities. Use when deciding whether a missing idea belongs in an existing executor, a new executor, an orchestrator, a visual element, or a timeline rendering extension, and when authoring the corresponding manifests and entrypoints.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Pack Builder Use this skill when a maker wants to turn a repeatable capability into an Astrid extension. Start from the existing catalog and compose what is already available. One pack is the distribution and namespace unit: `pack.yaml` declares its public actions, UI, rendering, and resources. A pack is not a database schema, a separate project database, or a new gateway command. For small mutable settings owned by one pack in one project, use the Runtime project Documents API described in the pack data contract. The detailed contracts are maintained in these authoritative guides: - [When and how to create a pack](../../../../../docs/guides/create-a-pack.md) — the current v3 authoring route, starter journeys, roles, documentation pointer, validation, and inspect commands. - [Creating Astrid Packs](../../../../../docs/packs/creating-packs.md) — the layout and `pack.yaml` field reference: the `actions`, `ui`, `rendering` and `documents` sections, the role folders they point into, the rules `validate` enforces, permissions, secrets and aliases. - [Pack data storage](../../../../../docs/packs/data-storage.md) — the shared …

How to install
mdr add banodoco/astrid-agent/pack-builder@sha256:5d909e02ea5f9c0dThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261018.ddd2064, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
