Watches GitHub CI for a pull request, a branch, a commit or a merge until every check on that commit has truly finished (GitHub Actions runs, check runs from other CI apps, and commit statuses such as a deploy preview), then reports GREEN or RED by itself, so the user never has to come back and say "merged" or ask "is it done?". Use this whenever a PR has been opened or pushed, whenever you hand the user a merge command to run, after any merge to the default branch, after a `gh run rerun`, or…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Watch CI
Without this skill, watching CI means a polling loop written on the spot, run in the
foreground, cut off at 600 s, and checked only when the user asks. So the user ends up
telling the session "merged" and then asking "what is the state?". This skill replaces
that with one script run as a **background job**. Claude Code notifies the session when a
background job exits, so the result arrives on its own.
The script: `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/watch-ci/scripts/watch.sh`
## Run it through the skill every time
Invoke this skill each time you watch CI, even if you ran `watch.sh` earlier in the same
conversation. Take the script path from the base directory shown when the skill loads.
The installed path contains the plugin's version (`.../dev-workflow/<version>/...`). A path
remembered from earlier, or carried over in a summary after the context was compacted, keeps
pointing at the old version once the plugin updates, so the watch runs an outdated script or
fails on a missing file. Invoking the skill also reloads these instructions, which may have
changed since you last read them.

How to install
mdr add mutlumehmet/claude-plugins/watch-ci@sha256:cd34dbe2792df2b7The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261011.6fba7ee, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
