Run a repository or Component's managed lint/test validation and explain its scope and results. Use to validate changes, lint/format code, run tests, or verify before committing or pushing.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Use the entrypoint matching the requested checks. The scripts prepare dependencies, normalize with
`make fix` when available, and manage check execution and reuse.

`run_validate` runs lint and tests; the other entrypoints run only their named check.
`<PLUGIN_ROOT>` is `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}` on Claude Code and `${PLUGIN_ROOT}` on Codex.
Repocli supplies impact facts; devloop owns Component/file selection, full-check fallback and reuse
under the project's validation contract. Use automatic scope by default; `--full` requests all
Components and full checks within the requested repo/Component boundary. Do not supply `TEST_FILES`
or `LINT_FILES` unless the user requests an override. A partial analysis can still supply usable
file selections; let the workflow decide rather than treating `partial` as a request for full tests.

How to install
mdr add compforge/devloop/validate@sha256:920ba971915376a3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261023.29efe40, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
