Renders charts, graphs, diagrams, and quick UI experiments inline in a reply as interactive HTML in fenced amp-view blocks, with no files, build, or dev server. Use for a chart or graph of data, such as a trend, a ranking, a distribution, or a comparison; for any diagram, such as an architecture, flowchart, sequence diagram, state machine, timeline, race condition, or file or folder tree, static or one the reader can click or step through; for a calculation the reader can change; and for small…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Creating Views An `amp-view` block is a fenced code block with the `amp-view` language tag whose body is one self-contained HTML document. The Amp web UI renders it inline in your reply, in a sandboxed frame on the thread's own background that follows the reader's light or dark theme. ````markdown Deep mode is now Amp's second most used mode. ```amp-view <div class="ui-header"><p class="ui-title">Deep mode tripled in the six weeks since launch</p>…</div> … ``` Most of the growth came from existing Smart users switching, not new users. ```` The reader sees the view in place. Do not announce it or restate it in your text; write only what the view does not say. ## When to use a view Use a view when seeing answers the question faster than reading: - Data: a trend over time, a ranking, a distribution, or a comparison across more than about six values. - Systems: any diagram, such as an architecture, flowchart, sequence, state machine, timeline, race between callers, tree, or commit graph, including small static ones. - Derivations: how a number is computed, with inputs the reader can change. …

How to install
mdr add ampcode/official-plugins/creating-views@sha256:4dacaf9e20fcb3ecThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261028.c8807cf, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
