Sets and manages this thread’s schedule for reminders and recurring checks. Use only when explicitly asked to schedule, follow up later, monitor, or manage an existing schedule. For event monitoring, search for a supported event subscription first. Load FIRST—before using schedule management tools. Not for snoozing a thread: to hide a thread until later, snooze it with update_thread.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Setting Schedules ## What a schedule is A schedule makes Amp run a saved task later, once or repeatedly. It has three parts: - The saved prompt: the instructions the run follows every time. - The trigger: an RFC 5545 recurrence rule (RRULE), the iCalendar format such as `RRULE:FREQ=WEEKLY;BYDAY=MO`, that says when to run. Each time the rule matches, the schedule fires and Amp starts one run. - The host thread: the thread the schedule belongs to. Every schedule belongs to exactly one thread, and a thread has at most one schedule. By default the host is the current thread. The run mode decides where each run happens: - `existing` (default): the firing sends the host thread a short wake-up message. The agent in the host thread calls `get_schedule`, reads the saved prompt, and carries it out with the host's full history. All runs share that history, so the host thread grows and its cost rises over time. - `fresh`: the firing starts a new child thread of the host with the saved prompt as its first message. The child has the host's project and agent mode but no history from earlier runs, and it does not report back to the host. The host thread is not woken. …

How to install
mdr add ampcode/official-plugins/building-schedules@sha256:e86a96ecbd6f238fThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261023.f836304, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
