Benchmark skill for testing how platforms handle the compatibility field. Use when asked to probe compatibility behavior.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Compatibility Field Probe This skill has a `compatibility` field in its frontmatter that specifies platform and environment requirements. It tests how platforms interpret this field. ## Instructions When activated, report: 1. **Field visibility**: Can you see the `compatibility` field from the frontmatter? If so, what is its value? 2. **Platform behavior**: Did the platform do anything special based on the compatibility field before activating this skill? For example: - Did it show a warning to the user? - Did it ask for confirmation? - Did it check whether the requirements are met? - Or was the skill activated normally with no special handling? 3. **Your interpretation**: Based on what you can see, do you believe the compatibility requirements are met in your current environment?

How to install
mdr add agent-ecosystem/agent-skill-implementation/probe-compatibility@sha256:c76102f60e71b705The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260321.ac05438, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
