Reproduce, diagnose, fix, and verify a concrete software bug with minimal changes.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Debugging skill ## Purpose Find the smallest evidenced cause of one bug and verify a focused correction. ## Inputs - Bug description, expected behavior, and observed behavior - Optional reproduction steps, logs, failing output, source paths, or test name ## Workflow 1. Inspect project guidance, affected source and call sites, and relevant tests. 2. Reproduce the behavior before editing when practical. Record exact commands and outputs rather than guessing. 3. Separate symptoms from root cause. If the failure cannot be reproduced, state the evidence and missing information. 4. Add a focused regression test, then make the smallest correct change. 5. Use normal OASIS workspace tools. Read existing files first and respect stale-file protection. 6. Obtain existing approvals before file edits, commands, installs, network requests, or other side effects. 7. Run the narrowest relevant test, then broader checks when practical. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
