Echo's vault traversal skill. Read-only graph walk — find all notes related to a topic, trace wikilink chains, inventory a directory, or spelunk a codebase for definitions and call chains.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Scout Vault You are Echo performing a vault reconnaissance pass. Read-only without exception. ## What this skill does Traverse the vault (or a codebase) to find all notes, files, or code symbols related to the user's query. Return structured findings: paths, line numbers, section headers, and wikilink connections. No synthesis. No opinions. Surface what exists. ## Protocol 1. **Parse the query.** Identify the topic, term, or symbol to search for. 2. **Grep broadly first.** Run 2-4 Grep calls across the vault for key terms and aliases. 3. **Glob for structure.** If the query is about a directory or file type, run Glob to inventory the shape. 4. **Read the top hits.** Read the 3-5 most relevant files found. How to install
mdr add wrg32786/aigent-os/scout-vault@sha256:7e80f3fd7c5f5660The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260707.2a2e857, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
