Rules for proposing and applying framework improvements. Covers growth (new components) and maintenance (pruning, merging). Human approval required.

# Evolution — Framework Self-Update and Optimization Rules ## What is Evolution Datarim improves itself in two ways: 1. **Growth** — on a passing `/dr-compliance` (Step 8.5), the `reflecting` skill analyzes lessons learned and proposes targeted improvements: new skills, updated agents, expanded templates. `/dr-archive` Step 0.5 generates reflection when the compliance stage did not produce a current artifact. 2. **Maintenance** — periodically or on demand, `/dr-optimize` audits the framework for bloat, duplicates, broken references, and inefficiencies, then proposes cleanup and consolidation. Interactive paths require explicit human approval. A passing compliance stage in `/dr-auto` or `/dr-orchestrate` uses the autonomous decision contract in `autonomous-apply.md`. How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
