Opt-in library of established visual styles for code-drawn Helios videos: style cards (colour rules, type, motion grammar, a checkable signature list, the core rendering trick) with tested renderAt(t) demo pages, plus finishing passes and time tricks. Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Motion styles
A style is a set of invariants: what the image is made of, which colours are allowed and what they mean, how things move, how the camera behaves, and what never happens. Get those right and the video reads as that medium; get them wrong and it reads as "flat vector with a noise overlay".
Each style is a **card** (`references/styles/<slug>.md`) and a **demo** (`references/styles/<slug>.html`), a complete page under the [make-video](../../../plugins/helios/skills/make-video/SKILL.md) contract that passes `helios verify`.
## When to use this library
This library is a set of known answers, and known answers pull everything toward themselves. An agent that reads a menu of 24 looks before every video makes those 24 looks forever. So the library is **opt-in**:

How to install
mdr add bintzgavin/helios/motion-styles@sha256:5241a50921d219c8The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261022.d42d284, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
