Generate design tokens from the atelier brand file (.atelier/brand.json): CSS custom properties, a Tailwind theme config, typed JS constants (tokens.js + tokens.d.ts) and a Figma Variables REST API body. Use when creating or regenerating design tokens, CSS variables, a Tailwind config, TypeScript color constants or Figma variables after brand colors or fonts change.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
One-way: reads `.atelier/brand.json` (see brand-memory), writes token files. It never reads its outputs back and never calls Figma.

JS API. The module path is passed as an argument and turned into a file URL, so the import works with Windows, macOS and Linux paths:

`syncTokens({ projectRoot, outDir, targets })` resolves to the absolute paths it wrote. The same module exports the pure emitters `emitCss`, `emitTailwind`, `emitDts`, `emitJs` and `emitFigmaVariables`: each takes a brand config object and returns the file content as a string.

How to install
mdr add ethany33/atelier/design-token-sync@sha256:7bda0e2272bed5e6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260923.7332a07, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
