Builds skeleton loading states that are pixel-perfect matches of real content. Use this skill whenever adding loading states to components, building skeletons for async data, handling pending loader states in route transitions, or implementing the shimmer animation pattern. Also trigger when the user asks about preventing layout shift during data fetching.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. ## Transparent Text Technique
Use real HTML elements (`<p>`, `<span>`, `<h2>`, `<button>`) with the same font classes as the real component, plus shimmer + transparency classes. This makes skeletons inherit exact line-height, font-size, and weight, producing pixel-perfect dimensions without hardcoded `h-*`/`w-*` values.
### Define the shimmer animation once
`animate-shimmer` is not a built-in Tailwind utility. If `app/styles/tailwind.css` has no `--animate-shimmer`, add the token and its keyframes inside the existing `@theme` block before using the class (otherwise `better-tailwindcss/no-unknown-classes` fails lint):

Define a shared class string at the top of the skeleton component:

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
