Point at things on the screen the user is showing you.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Drawing on the screen the user is showing you, so they can go and do the
thing themselves.
This is the opposite errand from computer use. Nothing here clicks, types or
drives anything: the marks are a way of pointing while you talk, for someone
who wants to learn where a control is rather than have it operated for them.
A mark is drawn clear of what it indicates and never takes the mouse, so
what you point at stays visible and clickable the whole time.
## Requires a screen share
Marks are drawn on the frame around the surface the user is sharing with the
call. With nothing shared there is nowhere to draw, and `screen_point_at`
fails saying so. Ask them to share their screen from the call, then point.
## Say what to point at
**Prefer naming the thing for an arrow.**
`{"target": "color balance", "caption": "Click this"}`.
The name is looked up on the surface itself, which knows where its controls
actually are, and an arrow is drawn at it.
**The label, not a description of it.** What is matched is the control's own
name. Casing, spacing and punctuation are forgiven, so `Color Balance` finds
`color balance`; nothing beyond that is, so "the stabilization button" finds

How to install
mdr add vargasjr-dev/mycadet-temp/screen-annotation@sha256:5bd940d0b2ea6693The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261007.09b94d2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
