Archive the current Cloudroom thread and release its runtime. Use only when the user explicitly asks to self-archive, archive yourself, or archive this thread.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Self-archive Act only on an explicit request to archive this thread. Never delete the thread or target unrelated threads. 1. Send a brief closing summary before running commands. 2. Archive the current thread and its children: `room-cli thread archive --self --json` (Local and Cloud). 3. If the command fails, report the error and keep the runtime running. Do not claim the thread was archived. 4. After success, run nothing else. Archiving stops the thread's runtime. In Cloud, the request is recorded durably and the app applies it when it next connects. To restore the thread, the user can use Cloudroom's UI or run `room-cli thread unarchive <id> --json` on their computer.

How to install
mdr add davidondrej/skills/self-archive@sha256:d38411a982ab5147The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261018.eaed515, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
