Evaluate how you use Claude Code — analyze prompt patterns, feature utilization, and get improvement suggestions. Trigger: /prompts:evaluate, prompt analysis, usage evaluation, how am I using Claude.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Prompt Evaluator
Two modes: **Usage Analytics** (how you use Claude Code) and **Prompt Quality** (evaluate/optimize a specific prompt).
**For task-intake validation (before executing a user request), use the 6-dimension benchmark in `rules/core/prompt-validation.md`** — that's a different check (task completeness, not prompt craftsmanship) and should run at `/run` pre-execution per `rules/core/no-assumption.md`.

## Mode 1: Usage Analytics
**Trigger:** `/prompts:evaluate [--days N]`

Analyzes prompt logs from `.claude/metrics/prompts/{date}.jsonl`. Reports: intent distribution, feature utilization, complexity profile, suggestions, usage score (0-100).
If no data: prompt-logger hook collects automatically. Return after a few sessions.

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
