# Project Docs

Everything under `docs/` is written for people. Big files do not get read, so every doc is a **folder of
small files**, one subject each, with a `README.md` as the folder's index. GitHub shows that `README.md`
when the folder opens, VS Code shows the tree, and the local docs site turns the same folders into a
sidebar with search. Nothing is written twice for any of the three.

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261015.4cfc585, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
