Manually record RPE and subjective notes for a specific Strava activity. Use for backfilling, correcting entries, or rating a non-latest activity that the auto-capture skill skipped.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Set RPE
Records perceived effort and subjective notes for any Strava activity. Thin wrapper over `scripts/fitness-lab.ts rpe`, which validates the RPE, resolves `latest` if needed, and does the atomic upsert into `state/activity-notes.json`.
## Usage

## Steps
1. Parse arguments:
- First arg: activity ID (integer) or the literal string `latest`.
- Second arg: RPE (must be an integer 1–10).
- Remaining args: optional free-text notes.
- If any required arg is missing, respond with the usage line and stop (the script also rejects an out-of-range RPE with a `usage` error and exit 1).
2. Run the script:

```
The script writes `{rpe, notes, recorded_at}` keyed by activity ID (`notes` is `null` when none were provided) and emits `{activity_id, written:true, previous:{…}|null}`. On `{"error":"strava_auth:<message>"}` (only reachable via `latest`, which resolves the ID from Strava) relay `<message>` verbatim; on any other `{"error":…}` report it and stop.
3. Confirm from the returned JSON:

How to install
mdr add gtapps/hermitd/set-rpe@sha256:2e304bcd51c55d5fThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261017.adda34a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
