Create a named Toastty task workspace and Git worktree, nested as a task space under the current session, for planning or implementation. Use when the user asks to hand off a task or move it into a new worktree or task space. Start a fresh task conversation or fork an existing Codex or Claude discussion into the worktree.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Worktree Create Create the task's worktree and workspace together. Launch a fresh task session, or fork the current conversation when the task has already been discussed. A generated summary must not replace inherited conversation or a settled plan. The user continues directly in the new workspace, and the task session reports to them there. After a verified handoff, the launcher exits its own agent session by default; see [parent session lifetime](#parent-session-lifetime). Resolve scripts relative to the loaded package, including inside plugin snapshots. Use `scripts/create-worktree.sh` and `scripts/open-toastty-worktree-session.sh`. Never edit the delivered snapshot. ## Select the start - **Default: execute the established task.** The user's worktree-create request starts work on the task discussed in the conversation. Use `--mode implement` unless the user explicitly limited this task to planning, investigation, or another read-only outcome. How to install
mdr add figelwump/toastty/worktree-create@sha256:2a353cd62b43043aThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261018.8b14e79, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
