Use Gitmoot for local-first AI agent coordination across repositories, reviews, GitHub PR comments, agent subscriptions, daemon checks, stuck jobs, branch locks, agent-templates, custom prompt agents, orchestration, heartbeats, pipelines, pipeline chaining through the localhost bridge, routing telemetry, event webhooks, the web dashboard, per-job runtime overrides, the config-driven runtime metadata registry, and Codex, Claude Code, Kimi Code, or omp runtime workflows.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Gitmoot Agent Skill Gitmoot is a local-first coordinator for AI agents working across repositories, reviews, PR comments, and runtime workflows. Use this skill when the user wants PR-comment agent workflows, repo-scoped agent subscriptions, background daemon checks, Codex, Claude Code, Kimi Code, or omp agent startup, structured implementation plans, agent template workflows, custom prompt agents, job status, or branch lock inspection. When a job pauses at `awaiting_human`, answer it locally with `gitmoot job answer <job-id> "<question-id>: text"` (see CLI.md § Jobs). For current-chat prompt import, "use <agent> here" or "use Gitmoot agent <agent> here" means import the agent's prompt into this current chat and apply it. This is prompt import, not true system-prompt injection. The natural phrase "use the Gitmoot planner here" maps to the same `planner` template used by managed planner agents. If the planner template is not cached, read and apply the packaged `agent-templates/planner.md` instructions directly. Do not route a "here" request through a background `gitmoot agent ask` unless the user explicitly asks for background execution, PR-comment routing, or job tracking. …

How to install
mdr add gitmoot/gitmoot/gitmoot@sha256:15caf45568ca8dd6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261004.d30553f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
