Manages dependent branch stacks and stacked pull requests using safe Git topology rules. Triggers on: "create stacked PRs", "publish this stack", "sync my PR stack", "rebase this stack", "merge the stack", "retarget child PRs", "split this branch into stacked PRs", "validate this stack", "cleanup stacked branches", or "GitHub native stack". Use when local branches or one source branch need a dependency-ordered PR stack with correct parent bases, validation, synchronization and optional…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Stacked PRs Build, publish, synchronize and validate stacked pull requests without corrupting branch topology, and decide the topology, provenance and native membership that landing an existing stack depends on. The package identity is provider-neutral. Git is the source of truth for branch ancestry; provider PR metadata is the source of truth for review bases. GitHub through `gh` is the first documented provider adapter. Landing, post-landing promotion and retargeting, and cleanup of an existing manual or GitHub-native stack have one executable owner: the `ship-workflow` skill's stack graph run. This skill authors its explicit stack decision packet and delegates to it once (§5); it has no hand-run landing or cleanup procedure of its own. ## Reference Files | File | Contents | Load When | | --- | --- | --- | | `references/stack-model.md` | Stack inference, explicit ordering, native detection and the explicit stack decision packet | Inspecting, publishing, validating, or delegating a stack | | `references/provider-adapters.md` | Provider adapter contract and GitHub `gh` commands for listing, creating, retargeting and checking PRs | Creating, retargeting or checking PRs | …

How to install
mdr add mathews-tom/armory/stacked-prs@sha256:f994106c19bd3329The line at the top of this page pins the label v0.5.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
