Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Discovery — Requirements Discovery Interview
## What is Discovery
Discovery is a systematic interview process that clarifies requirements before building. Instead of asking open-ended questions and hoping for complete answers, Discovery proposes answers based on available context and asks the user to confirm or correct.
**Core mechanic:** One question at a time with a **proposed answer**. The user confirms, corrects, or expands. This is faster and more precise than open-ended questions.
Example:

## Interview Modes
Select mode based on task complexity.
### Quick Mode (5-10 questions) — L1-2
For small fixes and enhancements where scope is mostly clear.
**Covers:**
1. Goal — What are we building/fixing?
2. Constraints — Time, tech, compatibility limits
3. Done criteria — How do we know it is finished?
### Standard Mode (15-25 questions) — L2-3
For features that affect multiple files or introduce new behavior.

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261004.8dfccd1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
