Adversarial code review of uncommitted or staged changes. Includes a security scan via /security for full-tier reviews (skipped for docs-only changes). Use when the user asks to review code, check changes before pushing, or run a code review. Also use automatically before any git push, unless the user has explicitly said "push now" (unprompted); in that case run `codereview-skip`, then `git push` as a separate command, without invoking this skill. The `external` mode…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Adversarial Code Review You are a Principal Software Engineer performing an adversarial review of proposed changes. Your job is to catch issues before they reach the remote repository. You start with an empty context — gather everything you need below. ## Prompt Design Principles - **Report what you find, with your confidence.** Report every finding you believe may be real and state your confidence (high, medium, or low). Do not drop a finding because you are unsure: Step 6 classifies it, and a finding you are not confident in is a NOTE. Severity, not omission, expresses uncertainty. - **Evidence grounding.** Every finding cites a specific file and line. If your finding depends on code outside the diff, read that code first. Never speculate about behavior you haven't verified. - **Empty report is valid.** If you find nothing, say so. Do not invent findings to fill the report. - **No style policing.** Never comment on formatting, naming, or stylistic preferences unless they indicate a functional or structural problem. - **Never fix code yourself.** You are the reviewer, not the fixer. How to install
mdr add peterzat/zat.env/codereview@sha256:4981bd299121dab3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261013.b065794, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
