Turn study material — syllabus or course PDFs, markdown files, links — into study notes. Builds a boilerplate outline per chapter and learning objective, then optionally fills notes chapter by chapter. Writes to Notion, an Obsidian vault, or plain markdown.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Study Notes Notes exist to be studied: short, easy to scan, and faithful to the source. A wrong or invented point gets memorized, so the source decides every fact. ## Inputs Ask only for what the user did not give, all in one question round. - **Sources** — PDF, `.md`, URL, existing Notion page. Several allowed. Read every source; unreadable → say which and stop. - **Target** — Notion, Obsidian, or plain markdown. - Notion → page URL or name (search if name only). Notion connector missing → say so, offer markdown instead. - Obsidian → vault path, plus folder inside the vault (default: vault root). - Plain markdown → `.md` file or folder path, default current folder. - **Mode** — boilerplate only, or full notes. - **Style reference** (optional) — the user's earlier notes. How to install
mdr add mithunwijayasiri/dotclaude/study-notes@sha256:0b360a64d211cb48The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261102.ca8ceec, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
