Reviews a codebase for bugs, design issues, and code cleanliness problems with specific file paths and line numbers. Use when auditing code quality, finding bugs, doing a code review, or reviewing a project for issues. Writes issues to `.issues/`.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

Review this codebase for bugs, design issues, and code cleanliness problems. Be specific and cite file paths and line numbers. Scope the review to `$ARGUMENTS` if provided, otherwise review the entire project. Examples: `src/auth/`, `lib/api.ts`, `security`, `tests/`. Skip vendored dependencies, build output, generated/minified code, and lockfiles (e.g. `node_modules/`, `dist/`, `build/`, `vendor/`, `*.min.js`, `package-lock.json`, `go.sum`). ## Output Findings go to `.issues/` and the overview to `.issues/000-audit.md`, following [issues-protocol.md](references/issues-protocol.md) — read it before writing anything. It is the canonical copy shared across the `code-*` review skills, and it defines the file layout, the finding format and severity scale, the dedup checks against `.issues/` and GitHub, and what to do on a re-run. ## Process Work the protocol's "Before filing anything" checks against every candidate finding, then file each surviving one as its own `.issues/` file in the protocol's format, with `**Source:** code-audit`. How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
