Cerb data queries -- the `key:value` language behind worklists, metrics, charts, and reports. Load it when choosing a `type:`, a `format:`, or an aggregation.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Cerb data queries The text-based `key:value` query language used for worklists, metrics, charts, and other data. ## Essentials - A data query is a set of `key:value` pairs. **No space after the colon.** `type:worklist.records` is one pair; `type: worklist.records` is the key `type` with an empty value plus a stray bare term, which is not what you meant and usually will not error. - Quote a value only when it contains a space. `of:ticket`, `limit:25`, and `sort:-updated` need no quotes; `query:"status:open"` does. Quotes are not what makes something a string, and unnecessary ones are just noise to read past. - Group a key's children with `(` `)`. - Pairs are separated by whitespace, and a newline IS whitespace, so break a long query across lines wherever it reads best: ``` type:worklist.records of:ticket query:( status:open sort:-updated limit:10 ) format:dictionaries ``` …

How to install
mdr add jstanden/cerb/data-queries@sha256:962305c33fe4b087The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260823.7d1dc0c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
