Enforce Astro 7 static-first conventions. Use when editing .astro files or when the user mentions Astro, islands, hydration, client directives, server:defer, content collections, or getCollection. Ships zero JS by default and picks the lightest client directive that works — client:visible or client:idle ahead of client:load, getCollection ahead of hand-rolled glob imports.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

> Targets Astro 7 · verified 2026-09 (latest 7.3.2). This skill enforces Astro static-first conventions. The rule: render to static HTML by default, ship JavaScript only where there is real interactivity, and pick the lightest hydration directive that works. Apply only when the project uses `astro ^7.0` or higher. If `package.json` pins an older major, **STOP** and ask before applying. ## What changed in 7 (and 6) Client directives, content collections and server islands are unchanged — the rules below carry over. How to install
mdr add zhaojiannet/canon/astro@sha256:79b8f6915c23fae5The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260914.a9571da, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
