Builds Astro sites with islands, content collections and server rendering.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # astro Paths below are relative to this skill's directory. ## Scope Astro application engineering, written against **Astro 7.3**: project and route structure, the island model in both directions (`client:*` and `server:defer`), content collections and the content layer, output modes and adapters, `astro:actions`, middleware, sessions, `astro:env`, view transitions, integrations and Vite configuration, images and fonts, route caching, the build and CLI, and migration from Astro 4/5/6. The dividing line for islands: this skill owns the **boundary** — which component becomes an island, which directive it gets, what crosses as props, what state can be shared, and what the framework renders on the server. How to install
mdr add lynricsy/hyperskills/astro@sha256:ddee24fdc1d4911eThe line at the top of this page pins the label v2026.10.15, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
