Autonomous Obsidian vault management using the PARA + LLM Wiki pattern. Three operations: ingest (inbox to wiki + PARA routing), query (cross-vault synthesis), lint (health check). Scheduled via CronCreate 4x/day. Filesystem-only -- no Obsidian app dependency. Activate when the user mentions 'ingest', 'vault', 'wiki page', 'obsidian brain', 'vault lint', 'inbox', 'wiki index', 'knowledge base query', or wants to process, organize, query, or audit their Obsidian vault.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Obsidian Brain
Autonomous vault management skill implementing the Karpathy LLM Wiki pattern. Teaches the agent to manage an Obsidian vault as a folder of markdown files using three operations: **ingest**, **query**, and **lint**.
The vault has three layers:
1. **PARA folders** (user-owned) -- organized by actionability
2. **Wiki** (LLM-owned) -- synthesis layer with entities, concepts, sources, maps
3. **Inbox** (drop zone) -- new sources awaiting ingestion
This skill operates entirely via filesystem tools. No Obsidian app, CLI, or Sync dependency.

How to install
mdr add anton-abyzov/vskill/obsidian-brain@sha256:941eb0e8e176312bThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.12, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
