animate SKILL.md skillA
animate from asymmetric-al/core is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add asymmetric-al/core/animate@git:20260930.a2d2b08Pins git:20260930.a2d2b08 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Build an animation from scratch, making the decisions in the order that determines whether it feels right — should it animate at all, what purpose, which tool, which properties, which curve and duration, how it interrupts, how it exits. Writes the implementation. Use when asked to animate something, add motion, make a component feel alive, or build a transition. For critiquing existing motion use review-animations; for auditing a whole codebase use improve-animations. Only runs when explicitly…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Building Animations <!-- CORE-OVERLAY-START --> ## This repository (Asymmetric-al/core) Use this skill to implement web motion after Core's design-engineering and operative motion contracts. Reconcile this overlay after upstream refreshes before running `bun run skills:sync`. ### Triggers - Building or rewriting a web animation, transition, or micro-interaction. - Do not use it for Expo/React Native (`animate-expo`), a codebase audit (`improve-animations`), or a strict motion-only review (`review-animations`). ### Workflow 1. Load `docs/ai/skills/emil-design-engineering/SKILL.md` and `docs/ai/skills/anim/SKILL.md` first. 2. Reuse existing Core motion tokens and Base UI primitives. Do not fork durations, easings, or introduce Radix APIs. 3. Keep reduced-motion on the global baseline in `packages/ui/styles/globals.css`. 4. If the task needs a toast, drawer, menu, or dropdown, reuse `@asym/ui` / Base UI. Do not invoke `pick-ui-library` unless the user explicitly asked which library to use. ### Checklist - [ ] The animation has a purpose and stays on transform/opacity where possible. - [ ] Core tokens, Base UI, and `anim` win over illustrative upstream values. …

How to install
mdr add asymmetric-al/core/animate@sha256:7ba6d09dbf1e2aa8The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260930.a2d2b08, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
