animation-vocabulary is agent-read markdown (skill) from asymmetric-al/core: Reverse-lookup glossary that turns a vague description of a web animation or motion effect into its exact term ("the bouncy thing when a popover opens" → Pop in; "the iOS rubber-band scroll" → Rubber-banding). Use when the user asks "what's it called when…", or describes a motion effect without knowing its name and wants the right word to prompt an AI or designer with. For naming an effect, not designing or building one..
Indexed from public GitHub and served as immutable, content-addressed versions. Install it pinned to an exact SHA-256 with the mdr CLI, and every file is verified against the hash recorded here before it reaches your agent. The deterministic audit below grades the latest version, and the same file always earns the same grade.

# Animation Vocabulary
<!-- CORE-OVERLAY-START -->
## This repository (Asymmetric-al/core)
This repo-owned overlay keeps the upstream glossary narrow and compatible with
Core's canonical frontend guidance. Reconcile it after upstream refreshes
before running `bun run skills:sync`.
### Triggers
- A user describes a motion effect but does not know its name.
- A design or implementation discussion needs precise animation vocabulary.
- Do not use this skill as the implementation or review standard.
### Workflow
1. Use the upstream glossary to name and disambiguate the effect.
2. Keep the answer concise and do not turn a naming request into UI work.
3. If implementation or review follows, load `docs/ai/rules/frontend.md` and
`docs/ai/skills/anim/SKILL.md`; those repo contracts win.
### Checklist
- [ ] The response leads with the most precise glossary term.
- [ ] Close alternatives are distinguished without inventing vocabulary.
- [ ] Any implementation advice is deferred to Core's frontend and motion
rules.
<!-- CORE-OVERLAY-END -->
Turn a vague description of a motion or effect into the precise term, so the user knows what to ask for.

Pin to a label to follow the author's releases, or to a sha256 to freeze the exact bytes forever. Either way the resolved hash is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install reproduces it on any machine.
