Runs only when the user asks. Not for a one-off check (use check).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # test-kitchen A test kitchen is where a recipe is cooked for real before it goes on the menu. This skill builds and maintains the equivalent for a repository: a project-local skill that launches the actual app, drives it the way a user would, and captures evidence, so any later agent can prove a change works in the real thing instead of only in unit tests. **Core principle:** a verify skill that was never run is a draft. Every claim it makes about launching, driving, or cleaning up was observed once. Two modes. Say which you are in. Never edit product code in either. ## Create mode You write for an agent that reads this cold, mid-task, having never seen the app. 1. **Interview the repo, not the user.** Answer from the codebase and ask only what you cannot observe: the surface a user touches (web UI, CLI or TUI, desktop, API, library), how it starts locally (the repo's documented dev command, ports, env, seed data, auth), how an agent can drive it (existing harnesses first, then browser/CDP, a PTY or tmux session, or plain HTTP), what evidence can be captured, and whether two instances can run side by side. How to install
mdr add escoffier-labs/skillet/test-kitchen@sha256:ccf6c814abb1473fThe line at the top of this page pins the label v0.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
