# Create Connector
Generate Harness Connector YAML and create/test via MCP.
## Instructions
1. **Identify connector type** - Determine what service to connect (Git provider, cloud provider, container registry, Kubernetes cluster)
2. **Generate YAML** using the templates below, filling in credentials and endpoint details
3. **Create via MCP** using `harness_create` with resource_type `connector`
4. **Test connection** using `harness_execute` with action `test_connection` to verify

How to install
mdr add harness/harness-skills/create-connector@sha256:631f073fe63fd198The line at the top of this page pins the label v2.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
