Use when resuming work or getting up to speed on a Loom task — "pickup", "continue", "what were we doing", "get back to". Reads the project board, recent git history, CLAUDE.md, and (if relevant) your living resume doc to brief the current state and a concrete next step.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Pickup (Loom)
Get oriented in THIS project, then state a concrete next step. The session is already bound to its
repo and board — the **board is the source of truth for tasks**; the vault holds prose. Don't pass a
project id anywhere; it's derived server-side.
## Steps
1. **Board** — `tasks_list` (the `loom-tasks` MCP) to see tasks and their columns. Note what's
in-progress, in review, and waiting, and surface which cards are **`held`** (an owner brake) vs
**`deferred`** (not yet sequenced) so "what's next" respects them. Also drain the **Requests inbox**
(`question_pull`) and check `escalation_status` for decisions the human answered while you were away.
2. **Code** — `git log --oneline -20` and `git status` for recent and in-flight work.
3. **Conventions** — read `CLAUDE.md` at the repo root if present.
4. **Your role's anchor** (whichever applies):
- *Lead / orchestrator:* read your **living resume doc** — it's the "you are here + what's next"
source of truth. Your session's **"Where things live"** context block already carries its resolved
absolute path on the **`Resume doc:`** line, directly under **`Project vault dir:`**. **Read it from

How to install
mdr add danielc000/loom/loom-pickup@sha256:52fbb2957b691b58The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260921.7e14db4, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
