Spin up a fast Linux build container for a Rust + soldr + zccache, Python (uv), or C++ (CMake + ccache) project using the bundled `docker-build` tool family. Uses anonymous Docker volumes for build state and a read-only bind for source — the one rule that turns Docker-Desktop's 20-minute cold-build into a sub-30-second warm cycle.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
<!-- managed-by: clud --> # /clud-docker-linux-build **Use the bundled tool — do not hand-write a Dockerfile.** The `"$CLUD_EXE" tool run docker/docker-build.py` family ships verified Dockerfiles + entry scripts for Rust + soldr, uv-Python, and CMake + ccache. They're written to disk via `init`; the volume contract, path conversion, and mtime gotchas are already baked in. ## Concrete entry point The launcher exports `CLUD_EXE` as its own absolute path. These examples use Bash quoting; in PowerShell use `& $env:CLUD_EXE`, and in cmd use `"%CLUD_EXE%"`. Outside a clud-launched session, set `CLUD_EXE` to the intended binary's absolute path first. ``` "$CLUD_EXE" tool run docker/docker-build.py soldr <repo-root> init # write Dockerfile to <repo>/.clud/docker-build/soldr/ "$CLUD_EXE" tool run docker/docker-build.py soldr <repo-root> up # build image + start container "$CLUD_EXE" tool run docker/docker-build.py soldr <repo-root> run -- soldr cargo check "$CLUD_EXE" tool run docker/docker-build.py soldr <repo-root> shell "$CLUD_EXE" tool run docker/docker-build.py soldr <repo-root> clean # wipe THIS project's volumes; force cold next time …

How to install
mdr add zackees/clud/clud-docker-linux-build@sha256:dd785a5d8270eba6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260927.9e09ed0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
