Structured second pass over a diff — correctness and cleanup angles, a verify pass, ranked findings returned to the caller.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Code review
A structured, Tend-owned pass over a diff that returns ranked findings on every supported harness.
**Return findings; don't act on them.** No review, comment, commit, or artifact from this skill — the caller folds the findings into its own single review.
## Phase 0 — Gather the diff
If a target was passed (PR number, branch, ref range, path, or a free-form scope instruction), review that. Otherwise run `git diff @{upstream}...HEAD` (falling back to `git diff main...HEAD` or `git diff HEAD~1`); if there are uncommitted changes, or the range diff is empty, also run `git diff HEAD`. That unified diff is the review scope.
Read the unique project instruction files that govern the changed code: root and nested `CLAUDE.md`, `CLAUDE.local.md`, `AGENTS.md`, and `AGENTS.override.md` files in directories that contain changed files. Read a symlinked source only once. Nested instructions apply only to files at or below their directory.
## Phase 1 — Find candidates
Work through the angles below. Each surfaces candidates with `file`, `line`, a one-line `summary`, and a concrete `failure_scenario`.
Scale the depth to the change, the same way the caller scales its own:

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
