Use when a technical decision has 2–4 nameable positions and the user wants a recommendation, not open-ended exploration. Triggers include "X vs Y", "A or B", "pick one", "contested trade-off", adversarial review, and decide-between requests. Skip when analysis is open-ended (use superpowers:brainstorming) or the question has no real contest. Keywords: debate, decision, contested, trade-off, versus, steelman, adversarial, argue.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Debate
Runs a bounded, structured multi-agent debate on a contested decision and returns a single recommended answer (or an honest "no clear winner" when positions are genuinely tied).
This skill is self-contained and uses Claude Code's native subagent primitives — no external team-manager dependency.
## When to use this vs `superpowers:brainstorming`

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
