Finds skills in the open skills registry and installs the one the user agrees to. Use it when a job needs a specialized method no listed skill covers, or the user asks for a skill.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Find Skills This skill helps you discover and install skills from the open agent skills ecosystem. Here you find the one the job needs, decide who gets it, ask the user before installing it, and use it. If you are Thursday: finding and installing is a bot's work. Hand it with `thread_start` to the bot whose work the skill is for, or to any bot, with anything the user said about who should have it; that bot asks the user before it installs anything. ## When to Use This Skill Use this skill when the user: - Asks "how do I do X" where X might be a common task with an existing skill - Says "find a skill for X" or "is there a skill for X" - Asks "can you do X" where X is a specialized capability - Expresses interest in extending agent capabilities - Wants to search for tools, templates, or workflows - Mentions they wish they had help with a specific domain (design, testing, deployment, etc.) And when a job you hold needs a specialized method that no skill on your Skills list covers. ## What is the Skills CLI? …

How to install
mdr add cgoinglove/thursday-agent/find-skills@sha256:7c4ac73c48d9bbcbThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260927.d196644, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
